5 Reasons Why Dog Training Elite is the PERFECT Franchise Opportunity for Dog Lovers and Business-Savvy Individuals Alike:

  • Home-based business model adds convenience for customers
  • Low overhead/no real-estate buildouts to drive up initial investment costs
  • Own a franchise with your best friend... your dog!
  • Flexible ownership models for Semi-Absentee investors
  • Variety of training programs featuring our proprietary balanced-positive dog training method to benefit dog owners in your community
Our convenient home-based business model benefits Franchise Owners and customers alike. With little overhead and no real-estate costs, our initial investment is significantly lower than most franchise concepts in the recession-resilient pet care space.

Why Choose Us?

What if you didn’t have to choose between owning your own potentially lucrative business and having the freedom to enjoy what matters most to you? Dog Training Elite gives entrepreneurs an opportunity to invest in a business they believe in without having to put the rest of their lives on hold! Here are some of the things you can look forward to as a Dog Training Elite Franchise Owner:

Enjoy Jaw-Dropping Economics- Our home-based model and low overhead gives Franchise Owners an affordable way to own a recession-resilient business in the surging Pet Industry. Starting at just $75,650, the Dog Training Elite investment is nearly $540,000 LESS than the average investment entry point for a doggie daycare franchise- and takes a lot less work to open!

Generate Tail-Waggin’ Revenue- With Average Gross Sales of $408,087*, our sales-to-investment ratio is a mind-blowing!

Be Part of the SURGING Pet Industry- Here’s a fun fact: pet care spending did not decline during the Great Recession...in fact, it actually soared by 17%! People will always want what’s best for their pets. Even during times of economic downturn, dog lovers tend to prioritize their furry friends’ needs. Additionally, with a 30% surge in pet spending over the past 6 years, the pet industry continues to grow and is projected to hit $99 billion by the end of 2020!

Own Your Future- Sit? Stay? Not your style. You and your dog weren’t meant to be cooped up all day- imagine hitting the road together every day as co-owners of your Dog Training Elite franchise! Now is the time to invest in yourself and establish a career that brings you personal fulfillment... not to mention one that allows you to spend all day with your best buddy!

Build an Empire- Our simple, home-based business model makes it easy to scale your operations to suit your goals. With Owner-Operator and Semi-Absentee franchise ownership options, you can channel your entrepreneurial energy into building a Dog Training Elite empire... or just enjoy owning one. It’s up to you!

Change Someone’s Life- Through our nonprofit organization, The Malinois Foundation, Dog Training Elite Franchise Owners can give the invaluable gift of love and support to those who have served our country. By providing fully-trained service dogs to U.S. military veterans in need, our Franchise Owners have the ability to give back and make a major difference in the lives of people and dogs alike.

Ideal Candidate

In order for a partnership to work, it has to be a great fit for everyone involved. Because of this, Dog Training Elite is highly selective when it comes to awarding franchise opportunities. Do you fit the profile of an ideal Dog Training Elite Franchise Partner?

Does the thought of being with your dog at work every day excite you? Do you love the concept of having your four-legged best friend serve as the co-Owner of your business?

Are dogs an integral part of your life? Does your love of dogs help define who you are as a person?

Do you have a background in education or instruction, but NOT in dog training? (We prefer our Franchise Owners to be new to the dog training world in order to ensure that our proprietary, balanced-positive method will be used in all training sessions.)

Are you comfortable in a management or leadership role? Do you have prior business management experience?

Do you wish to become a strong, positive presence within your community? Can you see yourself acting as an advocate for pets’ rights and educating people in your neighborhood to build awareness for pet-related topics?

History

Our Founder, John Mestas, has been a dog lover for as long as he can remember! He knew from an early age that he wanted to pursue a career that allowed him to interact with dogs and help them live their best lives. John spent many years honing his dog-training skills by entering dogs in obedience trials. In 1976, John opened Arrow Kennels, which he named after his first obedience trial dog, a golden retriever named Arrow.

In 1980, after gaining a great deal of expertise working with dogs who boarded at Arrow Kennels, John became a professional dog trainer and Competitive Training Director, and served as coach to a number of canine clients for dog training competitions and hunt tests. John’s training services quickly became Arrow Kennels’ most popular offering, and in 1990, he opened them up to the public.

Realizing that the demand for professional dog training services was skyrocketing, John decided to make this aspect the singular focus of his business. In 2011, Arrow Kennels became Dog Training Elite. Along with his team of dog training experts, John developed the proven, balanced-positive method that is still in use by our trainers today.

Dog Training Elite now offers convenient private and small group classes to our clients in the comfort of their homes and local parks, in communities all over America. In addition to our original obedience training and behavioral modification services, we now offer specialized Therapy Dog, Service Dog, and Personal Protection Training as well. As the needs and demands of our clients change, we continue to add new, innovative services and approaches.

Thanks to the unique, successful in-home training model perfected by John and his team, what began as a small movement in the dog training world has grown exponentially. We look forward to further expanding our reach to share our proven method with more dogs- and their owners- across the country.

Training And Support

At Dog Training Elite, we believe that a strong support network is essential to the growth and success of any franchise. Our support model encourages maximum profitability for Franchise Owners while giving them the confidence and peace of mind they need to start and grow their business.

Unsure whether you’re cut out to effectively train dogs? Dog Training Elite prefers Franchise Owners with no prior dog training experience for a reason- we’re here to teach you how to train! During an intensive, 2-3 week training bootcamp, our Owners learn how to train dogs using our proven, balanced-positive dog training method. This way, we can ensure that no other conflicting methods are being used during training sessions. In short- we WANT you to come to us with no idea how to train a dog!

Worried about the day-to-day aspects of owning a Dog Training Elite franchise? Our Corporate team is here to assist you with ongoing support for virtually any area of your business. From field support to questions about our training method, you can rely on the Dog Training Elite franchise family to provide guidance when you need it.

Uncertain how to get the word out about your new Dog Training Elite franchise location? You don’t have to go it alone! The support team at Dog Training Elite assists new Franchise Owners with marketing and execution for their Grand Opening, and provides 7 days of assistance during Grand Opening for no additional fee. After that, we’re here when you need us for all your marketing questions.

Afraid that owning a franchise means relinquishing your autonomy as a business owner? Unlike other franchise opportunities in the pet industry, we don’t feel the need to micromanage our Franchise Owners, and encourage them to operate their Dog Training Elite franchise on their own terms. We’re always there when you need us- and are happy to give you space when you don’t!
