History

Our founder Justin Strickland was in the oil change business back in 2011, and he uncovered some performance issues he wanted to change. A 10 minute, fairly priced oil change should be exactly that. It should not be a 45 minute visit where the client is up sold services and products. Justin started his first 3 locations, then called Tater Bugs Drive Through Oil Change, with a loan from his dear grandfather, Paw Paw. His competitors loved his model and approach and Justin sold Tater Bugs in 2016 and founded the first Strickland Brothers location in Thomasville, NC. He made improvements to allow a scalable model and built more corporate locations in 2018 and 2019, resulting in a very profitable business that he expanded nationally through franchising starting in 2020. Strickland Brothers was founded on a philosophy of convenience, fair pricing, no high pressure sales tactics, and exceptional customer service. This honest and simple approach has enabled Strickland Brothers to become one of the fastest growing franchises in the US.
