Carol Teggart is the Managing Partner of Marcaro Group. She works with business owners on valuation, exit readiness, and transaction representation, with a particular focus on dental and healthcare practices.
Before founding Marcaro Group, Carol spent her career as a small business owner, active in real estate, and a student of what it actually takes to buy, grow, and exit a business on your own terms. The team behind Marcaro Group brings more than two decades of combined experience owning, building, and selling companies across multiple industries, including healthcare.
That background shapes everything about how we work. We have been in the seat our clients are sitting in. We know what it feels like to wonder what your business is actually worth, to second-guess your timing, and to want a clear-eyed answer rather than an inflated estimate designed to win your listing. When we analyze a business, we are not applying a formula from the outside. We are thinking the way an operator thinks, layered with the analytical framework a sophisticated buyer will bring to the table.
The most common problem we see is not that owners lack the desire to sell well. It is that they do not have an accurate picture of how their business will be underwritten until a buyer is already in the room. By that point, the leverage is gone. The variables that matter most, earnings normalization, owner dependency, customer or revenue concentration, and operational structure, have already been set. Our job is to help owners see and act on those variables while they still can.
Marcaro Group is based in Omaha, Nebraska. We serve business owners nationally, with a concentration in dental and healthcare practices and a focus on independent operators evaluating their options over a 12 to 36 month horizon.
We work with a small number of clients at a time. We do not take every engagement. Our goal is to deliver work that is accurate, direct, and useful, not to generate volume.
HOW WE WORK
Every engagement begins with a conversation. We take time to understand the business before we say anything about what it is worth. From there, we build the analysis together with the owner and identify the clearest path to a stronger exit.
For owners who are ready to go to market, we handle the full transaction process including packaging, buyer outreach, qualification, confidentiality management, diligence coordination, and closing support.
For owners who are not yet ready, we have a track that gives them the information and monitoring they need to get there on their own timeline.
WHAT WE ARE NOT
We are not a franchise brokerage. We do not use rule-of-thumb multiples applied to a single year of revenue. We do not list a business before we understand it. And we do not push owners toward a transaction before they are ready.
