Charles L. Kasko is a highly respected real estate professional, community leader, and U.S. Marine Corps veteran with a distinguished career spanning more than 35 years. His expertise combines hands-on construction knowledge, strategic real estate brokerage, and data-driven leadership in regional development, making him a trusted advisor for both investors and community stakeholders.
Charlie began his career in the building industry, gaining extensive experience in modular and conventional construction, single- and multi-family development, and light commercial projects. This foundation has given him a comprehensive understanding of real estate value from the ground up — allowing him to evaluate properties not just as they are today, but as they can be repositioned and optimized for future growth.
In real estate brokerage, Charlie leads Classic Commercial Properties, the dedicated commercial arm of Classic Properties in Kingston, PA. His focus includes marketing and negotiating the sale of income-producing properties, bar/restaurant assets, mixed-use portfolios, and redevelopment sites throughout Northeastern Pennsylvania. With a sharp eye for financial analysis — including NOI, CAP rates, tax appeal strategies, and 1031 exchange opportunities — he consistently delivers results in complex, high-value transactions.
Charlie has also played an influential role in housing and economic policy at the local, state, and national levels. He served as President of the Pennsylvania Builders Association and as Area 3 Chairman for the National Association of Home Builders, where he represented members across multiple states. He also co-founded the Luzerne County Housing Partnership, a nonprofit dedicated to expanding affordable housing opportunities in the region.
Today, Charlie continues to drive impact as Chairman of The Institute for Public Policy & Economic Development (The Institute) — a regional think tank that provides data and research on housing, education, infrastructure, workforce, and the economy. As Chair of The Institute’s Housing Task Force, he helps shape strategies to address affordability, infill development, and neighborhood revitalization across Northeastern Pennsylvania.
Beyond his professional career, Charlie is deeply committed to community service and youth development. As Executive Director of the NEPA Scholarship Competition Association, Inc., he works to provide scholarship opportunities and mentorship to young women through the Miss America program’s local and regional competitions. He partners with universities, businesses, and community leaders to empower the next generation of leaders through education and service.
Known for his integrity, attention to detail, and collaborative approach, Charlie has closed over $45 million in real estate transactions since 2021. His reputation as both a dealmaker and a community builder has made him a go-to resource for clients seeking not only professional results, but also a partner invested in the long-term prosperity of Northeastern Pennsylvania.
