I am an entrepreneur and business leader with deep roots in Central Texas. While at the Hankamer School of Business at Baylor University, I co-founded SimpleBills. What began as a bootstrapped idea grew into a national utility management platform that we ultimately sold to a publicly traded property technology firm in Dallas in 2019. After more than a decade as an entrepreneur, I chose to stay on for four years to experience leading within a larger organization.
My career has been shaped by experiencing the full business lifecycle—launching a startup, driving growth, managing a mature company, and integrating into a corporate environment. Along the way, I developed expertise across operations, technology, sales and marketing, HR, legal, and leadership. I’ve been involved in transactions across industries, sizes, and structures, and today I serve as a mentor to multiple business owners, helping them scale, strengthen, and prepare for successful transitions. My passion is helping families realize the value of the businesses they’ve built and plan effectively for the generations that follow.
I founded Heller Business Brokers to combine transaction expertise with local knowledge and personal commitment. By leveraging a strong network of Central Texas lenders, attorneys, CPAs, and investors, I provide hands-on guidance that protects confidentiality, maximizes outcomes, and makes complex deals feel manageable.
I live in Woodway, Texas, with my wife and three children. Our family is actively involved in our local church, where I serve as Deacon and support operational leadership. Outside of business, I enjoy time outdoors, hunting, and pursuing my passion for technology.
