Jon
Hunt
has
more
than
30
years
of
business
management
experience.
He
is
the
former
publisher
of
The
St.
Augustine
Record
and
The
Lubbock
(Texas)
Avalanche
Journal
as
well
as
new
business
development
director
for
The
Florida
Times-­Union.
In
addition
to
business
management
and
operations
experience,
he
has
a
strong
financial
background,
having
successfully
completed
all
courses
required
to
be
a
Certified
Financial
Planner.
Jon
also
holds
Series
6
and
65
investment
licenses.
He
retired
from
the
U.S.
Army
with
the
rank
of
Lieutenant
Colonel.
That
background
serves
well
not
only
his
business
brokerage
clients,
but
also
the
clients
of
SCORE
(Service
Corps
of
Retired
Executives),
where
he
volunteers
to
counsel
small
business
owners
and
those
who
want
to
start
businesses.
Jon
is
a
graduate
of
Young
Harris
College,
The
University
of
Georgia
and
the
Army’s
Command
and
General
Staff
College.
Jon
is
married
to
a
“semi-­-retired”
newspaper
and
magazine
editor,
has
a
son
who
works
for
the
National
Geospatial
Intelligence
Agency
in
Denver
and
a
daughter
who
is
–
much
to
his
chagrin
–
about
to
graduate
from
UF.
