Michael Schmitt has been extensively involved in the sale and leasing of commercial real estate and business opportunities since 1971. He founded Orion Commercial Real Estate company in 1979 and became a Coldwell Banker Commercial affiliate in January of 2002. Mike has attended numerous real estate courses and seminars relative to the sale and leasing of commercial real estate. He continues to further his education in order to keep abreast of the changes in the market place.

Mike is a graduate of St. Cloud Cathedral High School and St. Cloud State University with degrees in business management and economics. Mike is also a Certified Business Counselor and a member of the Institute of Business Appraisers.

Mike has four children; Amy, Scott, Kate and John, and one stepson, Travis, and nine grandchildren. Mike and his wife, Betty, enjoy spending time with family as well as fishing, boating, restoring classic cars and travel.

Mike combines over 50 years of local real estate experience with a national commercial real estate platform. He has completed hundreds of transactions and has dealt with almost every possible situation. He was recognized for being in the Top Two percent of all Coldwell Banker Commercial agents worldwide and has received the Gold Circle of Distinction award five of the last six years.
