History
PuroClean began franchising in 2001, steadily building a national presence in property restoration. In 2013, Steve White, a longtime franchising executive, joined as President and COO with a clear mission: to strengthen the system and position PuroClean for long-term success. That foundation was further solidified in 2015, when Mark W. Davis and Frank Torre Jr. acquired the brand. At the time, PuroClean had 222 franchise locations, a number that has more than doubled under their leadership.
Since the acquisition, Davis and Torre have made significant investments in tools, programs, and infrastructure to help Franchise Owners grow. These include commercial large loss, which allows Franchise Owners to respond to high-revenue jobs; PuroVet, which supports U.S. military veterans in becoming Franchise Owners; and the Sales and Franchise Growth Department, dedicated to helping Franchise Owners expand their local referral networks and drive business development. In 2025, PuroClean celebrated a major milestone with the opening of its 500th franchise location, a reflection of responsible growth, strong leadership, and the brand’s deep commitment to Franchise Owner success.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal PuroClean Franchise Owner is someone who is driven to build a business with purpose. It doesn’t matter where you come from. Our network includes women, first-generation immigrants, veterans, corporate professionals, and even doctors. What unites them is a shared willingness to follow a proven system, lead with integrity, and serve their communities during times of crisis. Some PuroClean Franchise Owners started by converting their restoration or home service businesses. Others had no industry experience at all—and both paths work!
PuroClean Franchise Owners are hands-on, resilient, and growth minded. They value structure, collaboration, and the support that comes from being part of a respected brand. If you're motivated to build a business that makes a real impact, and you’re ready to work hard for long-term success, you may be a great fit for PuroClean.
