International Business Associates, commonly known as IBA, was established in 1975 by a group of experienced business brokerage professionals who believed that they could provide better customer service, market knowledge, transactional experience, and professional representation while maintaining confidentiality than was currently available to the Pacific Northwest. On this foundation, IBA has grown into the regional leader in business sale transactions involving privately held companies & family owned businesses. Our regional leadership is found in the number of “middle market” transactions successfully facilitated annually, but is also recognized in terms of knowledge & professionalism by the legal, accounting, banking, real estate, and entrepreneurial communities. The company is a full service firm offering professional valuation, marketing, negotiation, and transaction facilitation expertise to owners of privately held companies & family owned businesses. All of our associates have at least one real estate broker’s license enabling the joint representation of businesses & real estate, when appropriate. Our historical venues for transactional activity have been the Pacific Northwest states of Washington, Oregon, Alaska, and Idaho; however our reputation & representation has not been contained by those geographic boundaries with IBA professionals being hired on a consulting basis to negotiate and represent businesses in many other states including California, Colorado, Arizona, Illinois, Ohio, North Carolina, and Massachusetts. IBA is a strong supporter of the immigrant entrepreneur community. We have native speaking Spanish, Russian, Chinese, Indian (Punjabi and Hindi) and German business brokers on our bilingual transaction facilitation staff.
